The Flemish-Dutch Political Science Conference "Politicologenetmaal" is jointly organized by the Political Science Associations of the Netherlands (NKPW) and Flanders (VPW). Ghent University hosts the 12th edition of the conference on 30 and 31 May 2013.

The aim of the conference is to bring together political scientists from both countries for an intensive discussion on ongoing research. Topics covered at the conference can range from comparative politics, international relations, political philosophy, and public management to political economy.

Traditionally, the conference starts on Thursday (noon) and ends on Friday (noon). Most of the work happens in sessions, occupying four time slots (two on Thursday afternoon, two on Friday morning). These sessions typically include 8 to 12 papers. Usually the panels address broad issues, so that there is a sufficiently large base to attract participants. Sessions can take place in Dutch and/or English.
